Patina Stains are blended to match chemical or traditional patinas, but are easier to apply and manage. Sold concentrated, they may be thinned with Clear Guard, Clear Guard EF, or Sculpt Nouveau Solvent Thinner to lighten the color. Patina Stains are most commonly sprayed, brushed, or rubbed onto a clean metal surface.
Patina Stains are available in bronze, brass, copper, silver, hot rolled, rust, red, orange, yellow, verde (copper green), sky blue, blue, violet, white, black (gun bluing or PC9), antique black (M24), brown for copper metal, and brown for all other surfaces. They are sold in 8oz., 32oz., 1 gallon, and 5 gallon sizes. One gallon of Patina Stain covers approximately 300 sq/ft. For best results, over-spray with Clear Guard or Clear Guard EF after application. Red, blue, and violet colors are less UV stable than the rest. For outdoor projects using those colors, Smart Stains and Ever Clear are recommended instead.
For lighter applications and touch up work, Patina Stains are also available in 12oz. spray cans.
